To my fellow alumni,

I’m sure I speak for the entire organization when I say thank you so much for your support over the last few years. It has only been through your efforts that we’ve made the strides we have and I sincerely believe we can look forward to even greater success together in the time to come.

The Howard University School of Law Alumni Club of New York experienced exponential growth over the last two years under the skillful and dedicated leadership of President Emeritus Richard Lecky. We’ve gone from what was once just an idea in his mind to a thriving and vibrant organization that reaches over a hundred friends of our beloved alma mater. It cannot be underestimated how much his hard work has been required to make this organization possible; so I’d like to extend my personal thanks for his efforts and I hope you’ll all do likewise.

We expect to build upon these developments through several programs, both new and continuing, in the coming year. We will focus on the following areas: Membership, Law School Outreach, Alumni Activities, Career Support, & Community Service. Please see the attached Action Plan and let us know how you’d like to participate. We also, as always, welcome any suggestions you have for how we can improve our efforts.

With your dedication and hard work, I know that we can exceed even our own expectations in 2010. I ask for your support in the coming year in our endeavors.
